# Lottery

## Earning Tickets

To earn lottery tickets, you must accumulate points to reach specified thresholds. Once a threshold is reached, the system automatically generates a lottery ticket for you. This threshold mechanism is designed to reward active participants and incentivize meaningful interactions with $MARA.

## How to participate

To participate in the lottery, simply engage in buying on Uniswap V3 pool or burning tokens on the dApp. Each transaction not only contributes to the lottery pool but also earns you points that qualify you for the lottery draw. The more you trade, the greater your chances of winning, as each point is used to obtain lottery tickets - the more you have, the greater your chances of winning.

## Mechanism

The lottery draw occurs every X days, where X is a predefined interval. On the draw day, a random draw is conducted among all the tickets accumulated by participants during the period. The winner of the draw receives a prize amounting to a percentage of the accumulated fees in the lottery pool. The specific percentage and other details are predetermined and consistent across each draw perio

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://mara-on-base.gitbook.io/make-america-rich-again/lottery.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
